India launched the cheapest android tablet “Aakash”.

The world’s cheapest android tablet worth 3000 INR is launched in India.The tablet is named as Aakash (means Sky),earlier it was planed to release by the name Sakshat .The MHRD says that tablet will be given to students at the subsidized price of $35  (Rs 1720) to  spread digital access across the country.

Don’t confuse with the name Ubislate as it’s the name given by the company who is manufacturing it.

Aakash has been designed, developed, and manufactured by DataWind, a British company, in collaboration with IIT Rajasthan under the HRD Ministry's National Mission on Education through Information & Communication Technology (NME-ICT). The HRD Ministry is buying 100,000 tablets from DataWind for Rs 2250 per unit inclusive of taxes and freight charges.
